One day a boy was going to school. Suddenly he saw smoke. It was coming out of a house. He went in. He saw a house on fire. There was nobody else near the fire. Only a few women were running to and fro. They were crying bitterly. The boy came to know that a child of five was inside the house but none dare to save the child from the fire. The boy observed the situation but he could not decide what to do. He had the number of the fire brigade. He instantly phoned them. They assured him that they would come to the spot within 30 to 40 minutes. 30 to 40 minutes! How the boy would be saved!  He became very anxious about the life of the boy. He was very brave. He forgot about the safety of his own life. He took the risk of his own life. Wearing wet clothes he jumped into the fire like the superhero of film. All the people were waiting eagerly for the safe return of the boy. After a few moments, the boy came out of the fire with the child in his lap. The boy was seriously injured and the child was senseless. After primary treatment, the child regained his sense. The boy was happy that he could save the life of the child from certain death. Meanwhile, the fire brigade arrived there. They succeeded in extinguishing the fire. But everyone was talking about the bravery of the boy who rescued a minor boy at the risk of his own life

They told him to use the money for himself. But Arif was an honest boy so he refused his friends’ proposal. He told them, “Honesty is the best policy.” He also told them that he would try his level best to find out the original owner of the purse. In the visiting card of the money bag, he found the address and mobile number of the owner of the missing bag. He phoned to the man and told him of his missing purse. The owner of the bag became very delighted and requested Arif to keep the bag with him (A) and he would meet him the next day morning. The next day morning there was a knock at Arif’s door. Arif’s father who serves as a clerk in Sonali Bank became astonished to see the DGM of Sonali Bank at his home. He couldn’t believe his eyes. His boss told him everything about Arif. He called Arif and Arif handed over the money bag to that man. Both Arif’s father and his boss became totally astonished at the honesty of the boy. The man wanted to give Arif some money. The holding of the office of the prime minister by women for five consecutive times proves that the role of women in Bangladesh is very important. They are also holding a key position in the national activities and even getting involved in armed forces. It is unfortunate that in the past the activities of women in the family were not appreciated at all. Rather, they were neglected. They were confined in household activities and rearing up children. In our male-dominated society, it was thought that women were born to do household chores and to obey their husband. But the situation is changed now. They are working together with men, increasing their family income, and becoming self-reliant. Now their husband and other male persons of the society are realizing that without the involvement of women, true development of a nation cannot be possible.
