A farmer is one who farms or cultivates the land for agricultural production. In any agricultural country a farmer plays a vital role. Generally he lives in a tinny house in the village. He is a poor man who works in the field from dawn to dusk. Every day he gets up early in the morning and takes some stale rice or breakfast with stale carry or some vegetables and goes to the field to seed, to weed or to harvest. After finishing his work in the field, he returns home in the twilight. Though he has no field of his own he works in others’ field like his own and grows enough crops. The life of a farmer in our country is full of uncertainty. The income of a farmer is not too high to continue his life comfortably and happily. Sometimes he passes his days in great joy if he can produce his crops well. Again, he may face hard days if production of food grains fall because of natural calamities. So a farmer feels happy when there is bumper-crops and feels unhappy when production of crops falls short of expectation. A farmer’s life is full of sorrow and suffering. He lives below poverty line. He can’t earn three times bread for his family. He is unable to educate his children due to acute poverty. When he finds no work at that time he and his family have to starve. An ideal farmer is the real hero for any country. He contributes a lot to the economy of the country. So, we should respect him and give him much opportunity to lead his life happily.
