The viva board consists of four persons, three males and one female.
M1: What is your name?
Me: Answered.
M2: Introduce yourself in two minutes.
Me: Answered.
Fe: How was your written exam? How much did you guess to obtain?
Me: By smiling, It was fine. The marks may be around 70-75!!
Fe: Smiled. What is your major in graduation?
Me: It was Marketing in BBA and Banking & Insurance in MBA.
Fe: What is your result in BBA & MBA?
Me: It was 3.34 out of 4.00 in BBA And 3.63 out of 4.00 in MBA.
M3: Not too good result they were! What is bank rate? Existing CRR and SLR in Bangladesh?
Me: A bank rate is the interest rate at which a nation's central bank lends money to domestic banks, often in the form of very short-term loans. CRR and SLR rates remain at current 6.50% and 19.5% respectively
M3: What do you mean by portfolio management?
Me: Portfolio management is the art and science of making decisions about investment mix and policy, matching investments to objectives, asset allocation for individuals and institutions, and balancing risk against performance. (They all claimed that it was bookish language. One of them asked me to deliver answers with examples but I was totally failed!)
M1: How EPS is calculated? How many kinds of shares in capital market?
Me: EPS is calculated by taking a company's net income over the last four quarters, account for any stock splits, and then dividing by the number of shares outstanding. Four Types of shares, they are A,B,N & Z.
M2: What are the major constraints of marketing in Banks?
Me: Told almost 8-10 constraints. But they were not happy!
M1: What are the products of a bank? Mention some of them.
Me: Deposit products, loan products etc. Mentioned some products of one bank ltd.! (I over viewed them through their website before the exam)
M3: Retained earnings means what?
Me: Retained earnings refer to the percentage of net earnings. I was unable to express the answer more widely. The interviewer felt frustrated on me!
Fe: Why have you left marketing as you major subject in MBA?
Me: I have a passion to serve in a bank. That's why I was eager to complete my MBA degree from Banking Department.
The female interviewer was not happy by getting my answer. She felt boring to ask me further questions. After a while she welcomed others to asked me something.
M1: Do you understand fiscal policy,monetary policy?
Me: Fiscal policy is the means by which a government adjusts its spending levels and tax rates to monitor and influence a nation's economy. On the other hand Monetary policy is the macroeconomic policy laid down by the central bank.
M1: Difference between GDP & GNP?
Me: Gross Domestic Product and Gross National Product both try to measure the market value of all goods and services produced for final sale in an economy. The difference is how each term interprets what constitutes the economy. (Smiled quietly because I have nothing more to say!)
M2: Balance of payment and balance of trade means?
Me: Balance of payment means the difference in total value between payments into and out of a country over a period.The balance of trade is the difference between a country's imports and its exports for a given time period.
M3: Last question for you. What are the main criteria to make a business report?
Me: Told some of the criteria. But failed to complete the answer.
M3: Another question please. Have you any idea about project management?
Me: Yes! I have. Project management is the discipline of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals.
Fe: An informal question for you. Why bank,why not BCS or other jobs?
Me: Answered in my own style. But at that time she was not satisfied at all.

After that they have invited me for reading an English Daily which was "Financial Express". Asked some word meanings from the text. I was unable to tell them all the meanings properly. Within five minutes they wished me for the further procedures!
All the interviewers except the female one were too much friendly!
Longest 15 minutes of my life!!
